A call to all concerned Siaya Elites, Professionals, Businessmen/women, and Workers in Kenya and the Diaspora
To REMOVE Gov. James Orengo and ALL CURRENT SIAYA MCAs (without exception) from office in 2027
Gross mismanagement of Siaya county government leading to significant losses of public resources through massive corruption
Complete failure to fulfill their primary constitutional duty of providing oversight to the Executive, instead acting as enablers
We uphold the highest moral standards and demand the same from our leaders. Honesty and ethical conduct are non-negotiable.
Transcending political, ethnic, and social divisions to work together for the common good of all Siaya County residents.
Ensuring fair treatment for all citizens and holding leaders accountable for their actions and decisions.
Demanding open governance where public resources and decisions are accessible to all citizens.
Leadership should serve the people, not personal interests. We advocate for servant leadership.
Working towards sustainable development and improved quality of life for all Siaya County residents.
A petition signed by a minimum of 50,000 Siaya elites, professionals, workers, and students will be submitted to the ODM party to reject the nomination applications of Gov. Orengo and all sitting MCAs for the 2027 elections.
Each individual who signs the petition commits to contributing Ksh 5,000 as a campaign fund, which they will manage independently. This creates a war chest of at least Ksh 250 million to support agreed candidates.
Immediate boycott of businesses owned and run by plunderers of public resources of Siaya. Economic pressure as a tool for accountability.
Each signed member will oversee their own campaign kitty with a minimum of Ksh 5,000. There is NO centralized account. You hold your money until it's time to support the agreed candidates.
Should ODM decline our petition (which is likely) and grant the ticket to Gov. Orengo, we will support his most formidable opponent who agrees to our terms. Each petitioner will be asked to send the agreed amount directly to the candidate at specified intervals.
We will wait until the ODM nomination process is finalized. For any sitting MCA who receives ODM nomination, we will select the next most qualified candidate and establish a performance contract. Signed members will contribute Ksh 100 to enable them to run as independents.
Total War Chest: 50,000 signatories × Ksh 5,000 = Ksh 250,000,000 controlled by the people, for the people
While it is the masses who suffer when their leaders become kleptocrats, we—the professionals, businesspeople, and workers—are the ones who carry the burden. The list of relatives wanting school fees, medical assistance, food etc. becomes longer and longer. In a kleptocracy (also referred to as thievocracy), politicians enrich themselves secretly outside the rule of law through kickbacks, bribes, and special favors.
As Malcolm X stated, our challenge is organization. For too long, we (professionals, businessmen, workers) have allowed politicians and the general populace to dominate active participation in political decisions.
The sole method to eliminate them is through organization. We must come together as a unified force.
The hullabaloo surrounding presidential elections has commenced. As a community, the Luo have previously placed significant faith in it, only to fall short. The lesson is clear: individually as a community, we cannot influence the result of a presidential election. Kenya is a society marked by tribalism.
What we possess as the people of Siaya, however, is the complete authority to ensure that we continuously elect an effective pro-people administration in Siaya. Siaya county government should be our people's daily bread.
"Luo Nyanza must make drastic changes in administration, enforce rule of law and hold leaders accountable to the affected populations. We must punish impunity and stop hero worshipping. That's why we are lagging behind. MAR SIAYA TO LITH KABISA"
— A concerned citizen
We operate strictly within the law, using constitutional and legal means to demand accountability. Violence has no place in our movement.
Every citizen's voice matters regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, or social status. We welcome all who share our vision.
Our concerns are backed by documented evidence, public records, and verifiable facts about governance failures.
While we highlight problems, we also propose solutions and support leaders who demonstrate commitment to good governance.
Our initiative represents citizens from all six constituencies of Siaya County:
Together, we represent over 30 wards and hundreds of thousands of Siaya County residents who deserve better governance.
